About the event
Bring an old book or use the provided materials to craft your masterpiece. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting out, this hangout is perfect for all skill levels. Mingle with fellow poetry enthusiasts and hae a blast expressing yourself through the art of spontaneous found prose!
As Casey herself describes it, "Blackout poetry is a good way to get yourself writing when you don't have the words. Tear a page from a book and piece together your own poem form words already provided to you ! IT takes some of the struggle out, lets you reuse some thing to create something new, and brings out a side of creativity and innovation you may no have known you can do!"
The last 30 minutes of the workshop will be an optional open mic style show-and-tell opportunity for people to share their poems with the group.
